⁴ They shall join you and perform the duties of the tent of meeting, for all the service of the tent; but ^[a]an unauthorized person shall not come near you.

²⁸ For their office is ^[a]to assist the sons of Aaron with the service of the house of the Lord, in the courtyards and in the chambers, and in the purification of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God, ^29 (A)and with the showbread, and ^(B)the fine flour for a grain offering, and unleavened wafers, or ^(C)what is baked in the pan or ^(D)what is well-mixed, and ^(E)all measures of volume and size. ³⁰ They are to stand every morning to thank and to praise the Lord, and likewise at evening, ³¹ and to offer all burnt offerings to the Lord, ^(F)on the Sabbaths, the new moons and ^(G)the appointed festivals, in the number determined by the ordinance concerning them, continually before the Lord. ³² So ^(H)they are to perform the ^[b]duties of the tent of meeting, the holy place, and ^(I)of assisting the sons of Aaron their relatives, for the service of the house of the Lord.

¹¹ Yet they shall be ^(A)ministers in My sanctuary, having ^(B)oversight at the gates of the house and ^(C)ministering in the house; they shall ^(D)slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall ^(E)stand before them to minister to them.
