Israel Repulsed

³⁹ Now when Moses spoke ^(A)these words to all the sons of Israel, ^(B)the people mourned greatly.

⁴⁵ Then the Amalekites and the Canaanites who lived in that hill country came down, and struck them and scattered them as far as ^(A)Hormah.

^14 (A)Then the anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He handed them over to plunderers, and they plundered them; and ^(B)He sold them into the hands of their enemies around them, so that they could no longer stand ^[a]against their enemies.
