¹⁷ “^(A)These are the names of the men who shall assign the land to you as an inheritance: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

^28 (A)But commission Joshua and encourage him and strengthen him, ^(B)for he shall go across ^[a]leading this people, and he will give to them, as an inheritance, the land which you will see.’

⁷ Then Moses called to Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “^(A)Be strong and courageous, for you will go with this people into the land which the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you will give it to them as an inheritance.

²³ So Joshua took the whole land, in accordance with everything that the Lord had spoken to Moses; and ^(A)Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. ^(B)So the land was at rest from war.
