Numbers 22:3-5

3 (A)So Moab was in great fear because of the people, for they were numerous; and Moab was in dread of the sons of Israel. 4 Moab said to the elders of (B)Midian, “Now this [a]horde will eat up all that is around us, as the ox eats up the grass of the field!” And Balak the son of Zippor was king of Moab at that time. 5 So he sent messengers to (C)Balaam the son of Beor, at (D)Pethor, which is near the Euphrates River, in the land of the sons of his people, to call for him, saying, “Behold, a people came out of Egypt; behold, they have covered the surface of the land, and they are living opposite me.

New International Version
3 and Moab was terrified because there were so many people. Indeed, Moab was filled with dread(A) because of the Israelites.
4 The Moabites(B) said to the elders of Midian,(C) “This horde is going to lick up everything(D) around us, as an ox licks up the grass of the field.(E)”
So Balak son of Zippor, who was king of Moab at that time, 5 sent messengers to summon Balaam son of Beor,(F) who was at Pethor, near the Euphrates River,(G) in his native land. Balak said:
“A people has come out of Egypt;(H) they cover the face of the land and have settled next to me.

3 And Moab was sore afraid of the people, because they were many: and Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel.
4 And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now shall this company lick up all that are round about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time.
5 He sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me:
