7 The seers will be (A)put to shame,
And the (B)diviners will be ashamed.
Indeed, they will all (C)cover their [a]lips
Because there is (D)no answer from God.
8 On the other hand, (E)I am filled with power—
With the Spirit of the Lord—
And with justice and courage
To (F)make known to Jacob his rebellious act,
And to Israel his sin.
9 Now hear this, you (G)heads of the house of Jacob
And rulers of the house of Israel,
Who (H)despise justice
And twist everything that is straight,

8 But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the Lord, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
9 Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.
