³⁵ so that upon you will fall the guilt of all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous ^(A)Abel to the blood of Zechariah, the ^(B)son of Berechiah, whom ^(C)you murdered between the ^[a]temple and the altar.

²⁵ And all the people replied, “^(A)His blood shall be on us and on our children!”

²³ this Man, delivered over by the ^(A)predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, ^(B)you nailed to a cross by the hands of ^[a]godless men and put Him to death.

³⁶ Therefore let all the ^(A)house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both ^(B)Lord and ^[a]Christ—this Jesus ^(C)whom you crucified.”

¹⁴ But you disowned ^(A)the Holy and Righteous One, and ^(B)asked for a murderer to be granted to you, ¹⁵ but put to death the ^[a](C)Prince of life, whom ^(D)God raised from the dead, ^[b]a fact to which we are ^(E)witnesses. ¹⁶ And on the basis of faith ^(F)in His name, it is ^[c]the name of Jesus which has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all.

¹⁷ “And now, brothers, I know that you acted ^(G)in ignorance, just as your ^(H)rulers also did. ¹⁸ But the things which ^(I)God previously announced by the mouths of all the prophets, ^(J)that His ^[d]Christ would suffer, He has fulfilled in this way. ¹⁹ Therefore ^(K)repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that ^(L)times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; ²⁰ and that He may send Jesus, the ^[e]Christ appointed for you, ^21 (M)whom heaven must receive until the ^[f]period of ^(N)restoration of all things, about which ^(O)God spoke by the mouths of His holy prophets from ancient times. ²² Moses said, ‘^(P)The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your countrymen; to Him you shall listen regarding everything He says to you. ^23 (Q)And it shall be that every ^(R)soul that does not listen to that prophet ^(S)shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ ²⁴ And likewise, ^(T)all the prophets who have spoken from Samuel and his successors onward, have also announced these days. ²⁵ It is you who are ^(U)the sons of the prophets and of the ^(V)covenant which God ordained with your fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘^(W)And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ ²⁶ God ^(X)raised up His ^[g]Servant for you ^(Y)first, and sent Him to bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways.”

^52 (A)Which one of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? They killed those who had previously announced the coming of ^(B)the Righteous One, and ^(C)you have now become betrayers and murderers of Him;
