²² And he said to them a third time, “Why, what has this man done wrong? I have found ^[a]in His case no grounds for a sentence of death; therefore I will ^[b](A)punish Him and release Him.”

19 So Pilate then took Jesus and ^[a](A)had Him flogged.

³⁷ But Paul said to them, “After beating us in public without due process—^(A)men who are Romans—they threw us into prison; and now they are releasing us secretly? No indeed! On the contrary, let them come ^[a]in person and lead us out.”
