21 (A)From that time [a]Jesus began to [b]point out to His disciples that it was necessary for Him to go to Jerusalem and to (B)suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised up on the third day.

Jesus Predicts His Death(A)

21 From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem(B) and suffer many things(C) at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law,(D) and that he must be killed(E) and on the third day(F) be raised to life.(G)

20 (A)The Jews then said, “It took (B)forty-six years to build this [a]temple, and yet You will raise it up in three days?” 21 But He was speaking about (C)the [b]temple of His body. 22 So when He was raised from the dead, His (D)disciples (E)remembered that He said this; and they believed (F)the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.

23 Now when He was in Jerusalem at (G)the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name as they (H)observed His signs which He was doing. 24 But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, because (I)He knew all people, 25 and because He did not need anyone to testify about mankind, (J)for He Himself knew what was in mankind.
