34 All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables, and He did not speak anything to them (A)without a parable. 35 This was so that what was spoken through the prophet would be [a]fulfilled:
“(B)I will open My mouth in parables;
I will proclaim things hidden since the foundation of the world.”

36 Then He left the crowds and went into (C)the house. And His disciples came to Him and said, “(D)Explain to us the parable of the [b]weeds of the field.”

34 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable.(A) 35 So was fulfilled(B) what was spoken through the prophet:
“I will open my mouth in parables,
I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.”[a](C)
