Dire Warnings

^38 (A)John said to Him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and ^(B)we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.”

The Joyful Results

¹⁷ Now the ^[a]seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even ^(A)the demons are subject to us ^[b]in Your name!”

¹⁶ The ^[a]people from the cities in the vicinity of Jerusalem were coming together as well, bringing people who were sick ^[b]or tormented with unclean spirits, and they were all being healed.

⁷ For in the case of many who had ^(A)unclean spirits, they were coming out of them shouting with a loud voice; and many who had been ^(B)paralyzed or limped on crutches were healed.

¹⁸ Now she continued doing this for many days. But Paul was greatly annoyed, and he turned and said to the spirit, “I command you ^(A)in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” And it came out at that very ^[a]moment.
