³⁸ For ^(A)whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, ^(B)the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He ^(C)comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”

⁸ Therefore ^(A)do not be ashamed of the ^(B)testimony of our Lord or of me ^(C)His prisoner, but join with me in ^(D)suffering for the ^(E)gospel according to the power of God,

¹² For this reason I also suffer these things; but ^(A)I am not ashamed, for I know ^(B)whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to ^(C)protect what I have entrusted to Him ^[a]until ^(D)that day.

¹⁶ The Lord grant mercy to ^(A)the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me and ^(B)was not ashamed of my ^[a](C)chains;
