52 And Jesus said to the chief priests and (A)officers of the temple and elders who had come against Him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs (B)as you would against a man inciting a revolt? 53 While I was with you daily in the temple, you did not lay hands on Me; but [a]this hour and the power of darkness are yours.”

54 (C)Now they arrested Him and led Him away, and brought Him to the house of the high priest; but (D)Peter was following at a distance.

52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests, the officers of the temple guard,(A) and the elders, who had come for him, “Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come with swords and clubs? 53 Every day I was with you in the temple courts,(B) and you did not lay a hand on me. But this is your hour(C)—when darkness reigns.”(D)
