²⁵ “There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars. On earth, nations will be ·afraid [distressed] and confused because of the roar and ·fury [surging waves] of the sea. ²⁶ People will be so afraid they will ·faint [or lose all hope], wondering what is ·happening to [coming upon] the world, because the ·powers of the heavens [or heavenly bodies] will be shaken. ²⁷ Then people will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory [Dan. 7:13]. ²⁸ When these things begin to happen, ·look up [or stand up] and hold your heads high, because ·the time when God will free you [your redemption/liberation] is ·near [at hand]!”

²⁹ “Soon after the ·trouble [tribulation; distress] of those days,

³⁰ “At that time, the sign of the Son of Man will appear in ·the sky [or heaven]. Then all the ·peoples [tribes] of the world will ·cry [mourn]. They will see the Son of Man coming on ·clouds in the sky [or the clouds of heaven] with great power and glory. ³¹ He will use a loud trumpet to send his angels, and they will gather his ·chosen people [elect] ·from every part of the world [^Lfrom the four winds, from one end of the sky/heavens to another].

²⁴ “During the days after this ·trouble [tribulation; distress] comes,

²⁶ “Then people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory [Dan. 7:13]. ²⁷ Then he will send his angels to gather his ·chosen people [elect] from ·all around the earth [the four winds], from ·every part [the farthest end] of the earth and from ·every part [the farthest end] of heaven [Deut. 30:4; Zech. 2:6].
