²³ And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting. When they came out and blessed the people, ^(A)the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people. ^24 (B)Then fire went out from the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the portions of fat on the altar; and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell ^[a]face downward.

²⁴ Then you call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and ^(A)the God who answers by fire, He is God.” And all the people replied, “^[a]That is a good idea.”

³⁸ Then the ^(A)fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood, and the stones and the dust; and it licked up the water that was in the trench.
