Lamentations 1:9-11
New American Standard Bible
9 Her (A)uncleanness was in her garment’s seams;
She [a]did not think of her (B)future.
So she has [b](C)fallen in an astonishing way;
(D)She has no comforter.
“(E)See, Lord, my affliction,
For the enemy has [c](F)honored himself!”
10 The adversary has stretched out his hand
Over all her precious things,
For she has seen the (G)nations enter her sanctuary,
The ones whom You commanded
That they were (H)not to enter Your congregation.
11 All her people groan, (I)seeking bread;
They have given their treasures for food
To (J)restore their [d]lives.
“See, Lord, and look,
For I am (K)despised.”
