Joshua 9:7

⁷But the men of Israel said to the ^(A)Hivites, “Perhaps you are living ^[a]within our land; ^(B)how then are we to make a covenant with you?”

Joshua 9:7

New International Version

⁷The Israelites said to the Hivites,^(A) “But perhaps you live near us, so how can we make a treaty^(B) with you?”

¹⁹There was not a city which made peace with the sons of Israel except ^(A)the Hivites living in Gibeon; they took them all in battle.

¹⁹Except for the Hivites^(A) living in Gibeon,^(B) not one city made a treaty of peace^(C) with the Israelites, who took them all in battle.
