7 so that you will not [a]associate with these nations, these which remain with you, or (A)mention the name of their gods, or (B)make anyone swear by them, or (C)serve them, or bow down to them. 8 But you are to cling to the Lord your God, as you have done to this day. 9 (D)For the Lord has [b]driven out great and mighty nations from before you; and as for you, (E)no one has stood against you to this day.
