¹⁴By day they ^(A)meet with darkness,
And grope at noon as in the night.

¹⁴Darkness^(A) comes upon them in the daytime;
at noon they grope as in the night.^(B)

²²Then they will ^(A)look to the earth, and behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and they will be ^(B)driven away into darkness.

²²Then they will look toward the earth and see only distress and darkness and fearful gloom,^(A) and they will be thrust into utter darkness.^(B)
