¹⁰ Therefore ^(A)traps surround you,
And sudden ^(B)dread terrifies you,

⁸ Let ^(A)destruction come upon him when he is unaware,
And ^(B)let the net which he hid catch him;
Let him fall into that very ^(C)destruction.

^17 (A)Terror and pit and snare
^[a]Confront you, you inhabitant of the earth.
¹⁸ Then it will be that the one who flees the sound of terror will fall into the pit,
And the one who ^[b]climbs out of the pit will be caught in the snare;
For the ^(B)windows ^[c]above are opened, and the ^(C)foundations of the earth shake.
