¹⁴ but have ^(A)followed the stubbornness of their heart and the ^(B)Baals, ^[a]as their ^(C)fathers taught them,”

¹¹ Then you are to say to them, ‘It is ^(A)because your forefathers have abandoned Me,’ declares the Lord, ‘and have followed ^(B)other gods, and served and worshiped them; but they have abandoned Me and have not kept My Law. ¹² You too have done evil, even ^(C)more than your forefathers; for behold, each one of you is following the ^(D)stubbornness of his own ^(E)evil heart, without listening to Me.

¹⁸ “Instead, I said to their ^[a](A)children in the wilderness, ‘^(B)Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers or keep their ordinances or defile yourselves with their idols.

²⁴ because they had not ^[a]complied with My ordinances, but had rejected My statutes and had profaned My Sabbaths, and ^(A)their eyes were ^[b]on the idols of their fathers.

³⁰ Therefore, say to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “Will you defile yourselves in the way of your ^(A)fathers and adulterously pursue their detestable things?
