35 And I will put an end to Moab,” declares the Lord, “the one who offers sacrifice on the (A)high place and the one who [a](B)burns incense to his gods.
36 “Therefore My (C)heart makes a sound like flutes for Moab; My heart also makes a sound like flutes for the men of Kir-heres. Therefore they have (D)lost the abundance it produced. 37 For (E)every head is shaved bald, and every beard cut short; there are gashes on all the hands, and (F)sackcloth around the waists.

35 In Moab I will put an end
to those who make offerings on the high places(A)
and burn incense(B) to their gods,”
declares the Lord.
36 “So my heart laments(C) for Moab like the music of a pipe;
it laments like a pipe for the people of Kir Hareseth.(D)
The wealth they acquired(E) is gone.
37 Every head is shaved(F)
and every beard(G) cut off;
every hand is slashed
and every waist is covered with sackcloth.(H)
