¹⁴ So there will be ^(A)no survivor or refugee for the remnant of Judah who have entered the land of Egypt to reside there and then to return to the land of Judah, to which they are ^[a](B)longing to return to live; for none will ^(C)return except a few refugees.’”

^28 (A)Those who escape the sword will return from the land of Egypt to the land of Judah ^[a](B)few in number. Then all the remnant of Judah who have gone to the land of Egypt to reside there will know ^(C)whose word will stand, Mine or theirs.

¹⁶ Even when their survivors ^(A)escape, they will be on the mountains like ^(B)doves of the valleys, all of them ^(C)moaning, each over his own wrongdoing.

²² Yet, behold, ^[a]survivors will be left in it who will be brought out, both sons and daughters. Behold, they are going to come out to you, and you will ^(A)see their conduct and actions; then you will be ^(B)comforted for the disaster which I have brought against Jerusalem for everything which I have brought upon it.
