⁵ But the army of the ^(A)Chaldeans pursued them and overtook Zedekiah in the ^(B)plains of Jericho; and they took him and brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon at ^(C)Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he ^[a]passed sentence on him. ⁶ Then the ^(D)king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah ^(E)before his eyes at Riblah; the king of Babylon also slaughtered all the ^(F)nobles of Judah.

³⁸ So I will ^(A)judge you as women who commit adultery or shed blood are judged; and I will bring on you the blood of ^(B)wrath and jealousy.

⁴⁵ But they, righteous people, will ^(A)judge them with the judgment of adulteresses and with the judgment of women who shed blood, because they are adulteresses and blood is on their hands.
