¹⁸ I will pursue them with the sword, with famine, and with plague; and I will ^(A)make them an object of terror to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a ^(B)curse and an object of horror and ^[a](C)hissing, and a disgrace among all the nations where I have driven them,

¹⁸ For this is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says: “As My ^(A)anger and wrath have gushed out on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so My wrath will gush out on you when you enter Egypt. And you will become a ^(B)curse, an object of horror, ^[a]an imprecation, and a disgrace; and ^(C)you will not see this place again.”

¹² And I will ^(A)take away the remnant of Judah who have set their ^[a]minds on entering the land of Egypt to reside there, and they will all ^[b](B)meet their end in the land of Egypt; they will fall by the sword or meet their end by famine. From the small to the great, they will die by the sword and famine; and they will become a ^(C)curse, an object of horror, ^[c]an imprecation, and a disgrace.
