20 But, Lord of armies, who (A)judges righteously,
Who (B)puts the [a]feelings and the heart to the test,
Let me see Your vengeance on them,
For to You I have [b]committed my cause.
21 Therefore this is what the Lord says concerning the people of (C)Anathoth, who are (D)seeking your life, saying: “(E)Do not prophesy in the name of the Lord, so that you do not (F)die by our hand”; 22 therefore, this is what the Lord of armies says: “Behold, I am going to (G)punish them! The (H)young men will die by the sword, their sons and daughters will die by famine;

20 But you, Lord Almighty, who judge righteously(A)
and test the heart(B) and mind,(C)
let me see your vengeance(D) on them,
for to you I have committed my cause.
21 Therefore this is what the Lord says about the people of Anathoth(E) who are threatening to kill you,(F) saying, “Do not prophesy(G) in the name of the Lord or you will die(H) by our hands”— 22 therefore this is what the Lord Almighty says: “I will punish them. Their young men(I) will die by the sword, their sons and daughters by famine.
