⁸ “But you, Israel, my servant,^(A)
    Jacob, whom I have chosen,^(B)
    you descendants of Abraham^(C) my friend,^(D)

¹⁰ “You are my witnesses,^(A)” declares the Lord,
    “and my servant^(B) whom I have chosen,
so that you may know^(C) and believe me
    and understand that I am he.
Before me no god^(D) was formed,
    nor will there be one after me.^(E)

⁵ And now the Lord says—
    he who formed me in the womb^(G) to be his servant
to bring Jacob back to him
    and gather Israel^(H) to himself,
for I am^[a] honored^(I) in the eyes of the Lord
    and my God has been my strength^(J)—
⁶ he says:
“It is too small a thing for you to be my servant^(K)
    to restore the tribes of Jacob
    and bring back those of Israel I have kept.^(L)
I will also make you a light^(M) for the Gentiles,^(N)
    that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.”^(O)
