²⁹Behold, all of them are ^[a]false;
Their ^(A)works are ^(B)nothing,
Their cast metal images are ^(C)wind and emptiness.

²⁹See, they are all false!
Their deeds amount to nothing;^(A)
their images^(B) are but wind^(C) and confusion.

³For the customs of the peoples are ^(A)futile;
For ^(B)it is wood cut from the forest,
The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool.

³For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman^(A) shapes it with his chisel.^(B)
