4 When the Lord has washed away the filth of the (A)daughters of Zion and [a]purged the (B)bloodshed of Jerusalem from her midst, by the (C)spirit of judgment and the (D)spirit of [b]burning, 5 then the Lord will create over the entire area of Mount Zion and over her assemblies (E)a cloud by day, and smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the (F)glory will be a canopy. 6 And there will be a (G)shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and [c]protection from the storm and the rain.

4 The Lord will wash away the filth(A) of the women of Zion;(B) he will cleanse(C) the bloodstains(D) from Jerusalem by a spirit[a] of judgment(E) and a spirit[b] of fire.(F) 5 Then the Lord will create(G) over all of Mount Zion(H) and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night;(I) over everything the glory[c](J) will be a canopy.(K) 6 It will be a shelter(L) and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge(M) and hiding place from the storm(N) and rain.
