10 For the (A)stars of heaven and their constellations
Will not flash forth their light;
The (B)sun will be dark when it rises
And the moon will not shed its light.

For the (B)Lord of hosts will reign on (C)Mount Zion and in Jerusalem,
And His glory will be before His elders.

15 The (A)sun and moon grow dark
And the stars lose their brightness.
16 The Lord (B)roars from Zion
And (C)utters His voice from Jerusalem,
And the (D)heavens and the earth tremble.
But the Lord is a (E)refuge for His people
And a (F)stronghold to the sons of Israel.
17 Then you will (G)know that I am the Lord your God,
Dwelling in Zion, My (H)holy mountain.
So Jerusalem will be (I)holy,
And (J)strangers will pass through it no more.

Judah Will Be Blessed

18 And in that day
The (K)mountains will drip with [a]sweet wine,
And the hills will (L)flow with milk,
And all the (M)brooks of Judah will flow with water;
And a (N)spring will go out from the house of the Lord
To water the valley of [b]Shittim.
19 Egypt will become a waste,
And Edom will become a desolate wilderness,
Because of the (O)violence [c]done to the sons of Judah,
In whose land they have shed innocent blood.
20 But Judah will be (P)inhabited forever
And Jerusalem for all generations.
21 And I will (Q)avenge their blood which I have not avenged,
For the Lord dwells in Zion.

The Glorious Return

29 “But immediately after the (A)tribulation of those days (B)the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and (C)the stars will fall from [a]the sky, and the powers of [b]the heavens will be shaken. 30 And then (D)the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see (E)the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. 31 And (F)He will send forth His angels with (G)a great trumpet and they will gather together His [c](H)elect from (I)the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

Parable of the Fig Tree

32 “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; 33 so, you too, when you see all these things, [d]recognize that [e]He is near, right (J)at the [f]door. 34 Truly I say to you, (K)this [g]generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 35 (L)Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

The Sixth Seal—Terror

12 I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great (A)earthquake; and the (B)sun became black as (C)sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood; 13 and (D)the stars of the sky fell to the earth, (E)as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind. 14 (F)The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and (G)every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 Then (H)the kings of the earth and the great men and the [a]commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; 16 and they *(I)said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the [b]presence of Him (J)who sits on the throne, and from the (K)wrath of the Lamb; 17 for (L)the great day of their wrath has come, and (M)who is able to stand?”
