5 (A)Èyí ni àkọsílẹ̀ ìran Adamu.
Nígbà tí Ọlọ́run dá ènìyàn, ní àwòrán Ọlọ́run ni ó dá a. 2 Àti akọ àti abo ni Ó dá wọn, ó sì súre fún wọn, ó sì pe orúkọ wọ́n ní Adamu ní ọjọ́ tí ó dá wọn.
3 Nígbà tí Adamu di ẹni àádóje ọdún (130), ó bí ọmọkùnrin kan tí ó jọ ọ́, tí ó jẹ́ àwòrán ara rẹ̀, ó sì pe orúkọ rẹ̀ ní Seti. 4 Ọjọ́ Adamu, lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí ó bí Seti, jẹ́ ẹgbẹ̀rin ọdún (800), ó sì bí àwọn ọmọkùnrin àti ọmọbìnrin. 5 Àpapọ̀ ọdún tí Adamu gbé ní orí ilẹ̀ jẹ́ ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀rún-ọdún ó-lé-ọgbọ̀n (930), ó sì kú.
6 Nígbà tí Seti pé àrùnlélọ́gọ́rùnún ọdún (105), ó bí Enoṣi. 7 Lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí ó bí Enoṣi, Seti sì gbé fún ẹgbẹ̀rin ó-lé-méje ọdún (807), ó sì bí àwọn; ọmọkùnrin àti ọmọbìnrin. 8 Àpapọ̀ ọdún Seti sì jẹ́ ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀rún-ọdún ó-lé-méjìlá (912), ó sì kú.
9 Nígbà tí Enoṣi di ẹni àádọ́rùn-ún ọdún (90) ni ó bí Kenani. 10 Lẹ́yìn tí ó bí Kenani, Enoṣi sì wà láààyè fún ẹgbẹ̀rin ọdún ó-lé-mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dógún (815), ó sì bí àwọn ọkùnrin àti obìnrin. 11 Àpapọ̀ ọdún Enoṣi jẹ́ ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀rún-ọdún ó-lé-márùn-ún (905), ó sì kú.
12 Nígbà tí Kenani di àádọ́rin ọdún (70) ni ó bí Mahalaleli: 13 Lẹ́yìn tí ó bí Mahalaleli, Kenani wà láààyè fún òjìlélẹ́gbẹ̀rin ọdún (840), ó sì bí àwọn ọmọkùnrin àti ọmọbìnrin. 14 Àpapọ̀ ọjọ́ Kenani jẹ́ ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀rún ó-lé-mẹ́wàá ọdún (910), ó sì kú.
15 Nígbà tí Mahalaleli pé ọmọ àrùnlélọ́gọ́ta ọdún (65) ni ó bí Jaredi. 16 Mahalaleli sì gbé fún ẹgbẹ̀rin ó-lé-ọgbọ̀n ọdún (830) lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí ó bí Jaredi, ó sì bí àwọn ọmọkùnrin àti ọmọbìnrin. 17 Àpapọ̀ iye ọdún Mahalaleli jẹ́ ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ̀gbẹ̀rún-ọdún-ó-dín-márùn-ún (895), ó sì kú.
18 Nígbà tí Jaredi pé ọmọ ọgọ́jọ ó-lé-méjì ọdún (162) ni ó bí Enoku. 19 Lẹ́yìn èyí, Jaredi wà láààyè fún ẹgbẹ̀rin ọdún (800) Enoku sì bí àwọn ọmọkùnrin àti ọmọbìnrin. 20 Àpapọ̀ ọdún Jaredi sì jẹ́ ẹgbẹ̀rún-dínméjìdínlógójì (962), ó sì kú.
21 Nígbà tí Enoku pé ọmọ ọgọ́ta ó-lé-márùn ọdún (65) ni ó bí Metusela. 22 Lẹ́yìn tí ó bí Metusela, Enoku sì bá Ọlọ́run rìn ní ọ̀ọ́dúnrún ọdún (300), ó sì bí àwọn ọmọkùnrin àti ọmọbìnrin. 23 Àpapọ̀ ọjọ́ Enoku sì jẹ́ irínwó-dínmárùn-dínlógójì-ọdún (365). 24 (B)Enoku bá Ọlọ́run rìn; a kò sì rí i mọ́ nítorí Ọlọ́run mú un lọ.
25 Nígbà tí Metusela pé igba ó-dínmẹ́tàlá ọdún (187) ní o bí Lameki. 26 Lẹ́yìn èyí Metusela wà láààyè fún ẹgbẹ̀rìn-dínméjì-dínlógún ọdún (782), lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí ó bí Lameki, ó sì bí àwọn ọmọkùnrin àti ọmọbìnrin. 27 Àpapọ̀ ọdún Metusela jẹ́ ẹgbẹ̀rún ọdún ó-dínmọ́kànlélọ́gbọ̀n (969), ó sì kú.
28 Nígbà tí Lameki pé ọdún méjìlélọ́gọ́sàn án (182) ni ó bí ọmọkùnrin kan. 29 Ó sì pe orúkọ rẹ̀ ní Noa, ó sì wí pé, “Eléyìí ni yóò tù wá nínú ni iṣẹ́ àti làálàá ọwọ́ wa, nítorí ilẹ̀ tí Ọlọ́run ti fi gégùn ún.” 30 Lẹ́yìn tí ó bí Noa, Lameki gbé fún ẹgbẹ̀ta ó-dínmárùn-ún ọdún (595), ó sì bí àwọn ọmọkùnrin àti ọmọbìnrin. 31 Àpapọ̀ ọdún Lameki sì jẹ́ ẹgbẹ̀rin ọdún ó-dínmẹ́tàlélógún (777), ó sì kú.
32 Lẹ́yìn tí Noa pé ọmọ ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀ta ọdún (500) ni ó bí Ṣemu, Hamu àti Jafeti.

From Adam to Noah
5 This is the written account(A) of Adam’s family line.(B)
When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God.(C) 2 He created them(D) male and female(E) and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind”[a] when they were created.
3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image;(F) and he named him Seth.(G) 4 After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 5 Altogether, Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.(H)
6 When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father[b] of Enosh.(I) 7 After he became the father of Enosh, Seth lived 807 years and had other sons and daughters. 8 Altogether, Seth lived a total of 912 years, and then he died.
9 When Enosh had lived 90 years, he became the father of Kenan.(J) 10 After he became the father of Kenan, Enosh lived 815 years and had other sons and daughters. 11 Altogether, Enosh lived a total of 905 years, and then he died.
12 When Kenan had lived 70 years, he became the father of Mahalalel.(K) 13 After he became the father of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years and had other sons and daughters. 14 Altogether, Kenan lived a total of 910 years, and then he died.
15 When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared.(L) 16 After he became the father of Jared, Mahalalel lived 830 years and had other sons and daughters. 17 Altogether, Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years, and then he died.
18 When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch.(M) 19 After he became the father of Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 20 Altogether, Jared lived a total of 962 years, and then he died.
21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.(N) 22 After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God(O) 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. 24 Enoch walked faithfully with God;(P) then he was no more, because God took him away.(Q)
25 When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech.(R) 26 After he became the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters. 27 Altogether, Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.
28 When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son. 29 He named him Noah[c](S) and said, “He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the Lord has cursed.(T)” 30 After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters. 31 Altogether, Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.
32 After Noah was 500 years old,(U) he became the father of Shem,(V) Ham and Japheth.(W)
