¹³ Now let it be known to the king, that if that city is rebuilt and the walls are finished, ^(A)they will not pay tribute, custom tax, or toll, and it will ^[a]be detrimental to the revenue of the kings.

²⁴ We also inform you that ^(A)it is not allowed to impose tax, tribute, or toll ^(B)on any of the priests, Levites, singers, doorkeepers, temple servants, or other servants of this house of God.
