Ezekiel 33:5-7
New American Standard Bible
5 He heard the sound of the horn but did not take warning; his blood will be on himself. But had he taken warning, he would have (A)saved his life. 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the horn and the people are not warned, and a sword comes and takes a person from them, he is (B)taken away for his wrongdoing; but I will [a]require his (C)blood from the watchman’s hand.’
7 “Now as for you, son of man, I have [b](D)appointed you as a watchman for the house of Israel; so you will hear a [c]message from My mouth and give them a (E)warning from Me.

New International Version
5 Since they heard the sound of the trumpet but did not heed the warning, their blood will be on their own head.(A) If they had heeded the warning, they would have saved themselves.(B) 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’(C)
7 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman(D) for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.(E)
