20 (A)Sanctify My Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between Me and you, so that you may know that I am the Lord your God.’ 21 But the (B)children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, nor were they careful to [a]follow My ordinances which, if [b]a person [c]follows them, then he will live by them; they profaned My Sabbaths. So I [d]resolved to pour out My wrath on them, to [e]use up My anger against them in the wilderness. 22 But I (C)withdrew My hand and acted (D)for the sake of My name, so that it would not be defiled in the sight of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.

So I said I would pour out my wrath on them and spend my anger(E) against them in the wilderness.(F) 22 But I withheld(G) my hand, and for the sake of my name(H) I did what would keep it from being profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.
