³⁹ The ^(A)one lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the ^[a]other lamb you shall offer at ^[b]twilight;

⁴¹ The ^[a]other lamb you shall offer at ^[b]twilight, and shall offer with it ^[c]the same grain offering and ^[d]the same drink offering as in the morning, for a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the Lord.

²⁹ When midday was past, they raved ^(A)until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice; but there was no voice, no one answered, and ^[a]no one paid attention.

Elijah’s Prayer

³⁶ Then ^(A)at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, Elijah the prophet approached and said, “^(B)Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, today let it be known that ^(C)You are God in Israel and that I am Your servant, and that ^(D)I have done all these things at Your word.

²¹ while I was still speaking in prayer, the man ^(A)Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision ^[a]previously, ^[b]came to me ^[c]in my extreme weariness about the time of the ^(B)evening offering.
