⁹ But if they will not believe even these two ^[a]signs nor pay attention to what you say, then you shall take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground; and the water which you take from the Nile ^(A)will turn into blood on the dry ground.”

²⁰ So Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord had commanded. And he lifted up ^[a](A)the staff and struck the water that was in the Nile in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants; and ^(B)all the water that was in the Nile was turned into blood.

⁶ These have the power to ^(A)shut up the sky, so that rain will not fall during ^(B)the days of their prophesying; and they have power over the waters to ^(C)turn them into blood, and ^(D)to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.

⁴ Then the third angel poured out his bowl into the ^(A)rivers and the springs of waters; and they ^(B)became blood.

⁶ for they poured out ^(A)the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them ^(B)blood to drink. They ^[a]deserve it.”
