18 You shall make two cherubim of gold; make them of hammered work [a]at the two ends of the atoning cover. 19 Make one cherub [b]at one end and one cherub [c]at the other end; you shall make the cherubim of one piece [d]with the atoning cover at its two ends. 20 And (A)the cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the atoning cover with their wings and [e]facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the atoning cover. 21 Then (B)you shall put the atoning cover [f]on top of the ark, and (C)in the ark you shall put the testimony which I will give to you. 22 (D)There I will meet with you; and from above the atoning cover, from (E)between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about [g]every commandment that I will give you for the sons of Israel.

Bread of the Presence

23 “(F)You shall also make a table of acacia wood, [h]two cubits [i]long and one cubit [j]wide, and one and a half cubits [k]high. 24 You shall overlay it with pure gold and make a gold (G)border around it. 25 And you shall make for it a rim of a [l]hand width around it; and you shall make a gold border for the rim around it. 26 You shall also make four gold rings for it and put rings on the four corners which are on its four legs. 27 The rings shall be close to the rim, as holders for the poles to carry the table. 28 And you shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, so that with them the table may be carried. 29 You shall also make its (H)dishes, its pans, its jars, and its libation bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold. 30 And you shall set (I)the bread of the [m]Presence on the table before Me continually.

The Golden Lampstand

31 “(J)Then you shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand, its base and its shaft, are to be made of hammered work; its cups, its [n]bulbs, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it. 32 (K)Six branches shall go out from its sides; three branches of the lampstand from its one side and three branches of the lampstand from its [o]other side. 33 (L)Three cups shall be shaped like almond blossoms on the one branch, a [p]bulb and a flower, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms on the [q]other branch, a [r]bulb and a flower—the same for six branches going out from the lampstand; 34 and (M)on the lampstand four cups shaped like almond blossoms, its [s]bulbs and its flowers. 35 (N)A [t]bulb shall be under the first pair of branches coming out of it, and a [u]bulb under the second pair of branches coming out of it, and a [v]bulb under the third pair of branches coming out of it, for the six branches coming out of the lampstand. 36 (O)Their [w]bulbs and their branches shall be of one piece with it; all of it shall be one piece of hammered work of pure gold. 37 Then you shall make its lamps seven in number; and (P)they shall [x]mount its lamps so as to shed light on the space in front of it. 38 Its tongs and its trays shall be of pure gold. 39 It shall be made from a [y]talent of pure gold, with all these utensils. 40 (Q)See that you make them (R)by the pattern for them, which was shown to you on the mountain.

New International Version

18 And make two cherubim(A) out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover. 19 Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends. 20 The cherubim(B) are to have their wings spread upward, overshadowing(C) the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the cover. 21 Place the cover on top of the ark(D) and put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law(E) that I will give you. 22 There, above the cover between the two cherubim(F) that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet(G) with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.(H)

The Table(I)

23 “Make a table(J) of acacia wood—two cubits long, a cubit wide and a cubit and a half high.[a] 24 Overlay it with pure gold and make a gold molding around it. 25 Also make around it a rim a handbreadth[b] wide and put a gold molding on the rim. 26 Make four gold rings for the table and fasten them to the four corners, where the four legs are. 27 The rings are to be close to the rim to hold the poles used in carrying the table. 28 Make the poles of acacia wood, overlay them with gold(K) and carry the table with them. 29 And make its plates and dishes of pure gold, as well as its pitchers and bowls for the pouring out of offerings.(L) 30 Put the bread of the Presence(M) on this table to be before me at all times.

The Lampstand(N)

31 “Make a lampstand(O) of pure gold. Hammer out its base and shaft, and make its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms of one piece with them. 32 Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand—three on one side and three on the other. 33 Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms are to be on one branch, three on the next branch, and the same for all six branches extending from the lampstand. 34 And on the lampstand there are to be four cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms. 35 One bud shall be under the first pair of branches extending from the lampstand, a second bud under the second pair, and a third bud under the third pair—six branches in all. 36 The buds and branches shall all be of one piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold.(P)

37 “Then make its seven lamps(Q) and set them up on it so that they light the space in front of it. 38 Its wick trimmers and trays(R) are to be of pure gold. 39 A talent[c] of pure gold is to be used for the lampstand and all these accessories. 40 See that you make them according to the pattern(S) shown you on the mountain.
