¹¹ So they appointed ^(A)taskmasters over them to oppress them with ^[a](B)hard labor. And they built for Pharaoh ^(C)storage cities, Pithom and ^(D)Raamses.

¹¹ Now it came about in those days, ^(A)when Moses had grown up, that he went out to his ^[a]fellow Hebrews and looked at their ^[b](B)hard labors; and ^(C)he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his ^[c]fellow Hebrews.

⁵ Furthermore I have ^(A)heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, because the Egyptians are holding them in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant. ⁶ Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, ‘^(B)I am the Lord, and ^(C)I will bring you out from under the labors of the Egyptians, and I will rescue you from their bondage. I will also ^(D)redeem you with ^(E)an outstretched arm, and with great judgments. ⁷ Then I will take you ^[a](F)as My people, and ^(G)I will be ^[b]your God; and ^(H)you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the labors of the Egyptians.
