21 You are not to be terrified of them, because (A)the Lord your God is in your midst, (B)a great and awesome God. 22 (C)And the Lord your God will drive away these nations from you little by little; you will not be able to put an end to them quickly, otherwise the [a]wild animals would become too numerous for you. 23 (D)But the Lord your God will turn them over to you, and will [b]throw them into great confusion until they are destroyed.

21 Do not be terrified by them, for the Lord your God, who is among you,(A) is a great and awesome God.(B) 22 The Lord your God will drive out those nations before you, little by little.(C) You will not be allowed to eliminate them all at once, or the wild animals will multiply around you. 23 But the Lord your God will deliver them over to you, throwing them into great confusion until they are destroyed.(D)
