24 And his power will be mighty, but not by his own power,
And he will [a](A)destroy to an extraordinary degree
And be successful and do as he pleases;
He will [b]destroy mighty men and [c]the holy people.
25 And through his shrewdness
He will make deceit a success by his [d]influence;
And he will make himself great in his [e]own mind,
And he will [f]destroy many while they are [g]at ease.
He will even [h](B)oppose the Prince of princes,
But he will be broken (C)without [i]human agency.
26 And the vision of the evenings and mornings
Which has been told is (D)true;
But as for you, (E)keep the vision secret,
Because it pertains to many (F)days in the future.”

24 He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy those who are mighty, the holy people.(A) 25 He will cause deceit(B) to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes.(C) Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power.(D)

26 “The vision of the evenings and mornings that has been given you is true,(E) but seal(F) up the vision, for it concerns the distant future.”(G)
