23 But these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, (A)fell into the middle of the furnace of blazing fire still tied up.

24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astounded and stood up quickly; he said to his counselors, “Was it not three men that we threw bound into the middle of the fire?” They replied to the king, “Absolutely, O king.” 25 He responded, “Look! I see four men untied and (B)walking about in the middle of the fire [a]unharmed, and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the (C)gods!” 26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the door of the furnace of blazing fire; he said, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, come out, you servants of the (D)Most High God, and come here!” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego (E)came out of the middle of the fire. 27 The (F)satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the king’s counselors gathered together and saw that the (G)fire had no [b]effect on [c]the bodies of these men, nor was the hair of their heads singed, nor were their [d](H)trousers [e]damaged, nor had even the smell of fire touched them.

28 Nebuchadnezzar responded and said, “Blessed be the (I)God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who has (J)sent His angel and rescued His servants who put their (K)trust in Him, [f]violating the king’s command, and surrendered their bodies (L)rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. 29 Therefore I (M)make a decree that any people, nation, or population of any language that speaks anything offensive against the God of (N)Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego shall be torn limb from limb and their (O)houses made a rubbish heap, because there is (P)no other god who is able to save in this way.” 30 Then the king (Q)made Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego prosperous in the province of Babylon.

23 and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace.

24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?”

They replied, “Certainly, Your Majesty.”

25 He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”

26 Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God,(A) come out! Come here!”

So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire, 27 and the satraps, prefects, governors and royal advisers(B) crowded around them.(C) They saw that the fire(D) had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them.

28 Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel(E) and rescued(F) his servants! They trusted(G) in him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.(H) 29 Therefore I decree(I) that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble,(J) for no other god can save(K) in this way.”

30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the province of Babylon.(L)

23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.

25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

27 And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

28 Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

29 Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.
