⁹ And a great uproar occurred; and some of ^(A)the scribes of the Pharisaic party stood up and started arguing heatedly, saying, “^(B)We find nothing wrong with this man; ^(C)suppose a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?”

²⁵ But I found that he had committed ^(A)nothing deserving death; and since he himself ^(B)appealed to ^[a]the Emperor, I decided to send him.

³¹ and when they had gone out, they began talking to one another, saying, “^(A)This man is not doing anything deserving death or ^[a]imprisonment.”

¹⁸ And when they had ^(A)examined me, they ^(B)were willing to release me because there were ^(C)no grounds ^[a]for putting me to death.
