⁵⁰ But ^(A)the Jews incited the ^[a](B)devout women ^(C)of prominence and the leading men of the city, and instigated a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their ^[b]region.

² But ^(A)the ^[a](B)unbelieving Jews stirred up the ^[b]minds of the Gentiles and embittered them against ^(C)the brothers.

^4 (A)But the ^[a]people of the city were divided; and some ^[b]sided with ^(B)the Jews, while others, with ^(C)the apostles. ⁵ And when an attempt was made by both the Gentiles and ^(D)the Jews with their rulers, to treat them abusively and to ^(E)stone them,

¹⁹ But ^(A)Jews came from ^(B)Antioch and ^(C)Iconium, and having won over the crowds, they ^(D)stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, thinking that he was dead.

^16 (A)hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles ^(B)so that they may be saved; with the result that they always ^[a](C)reach the limit of their sins. But ^(D)wrath has come upon them ^[b]fully.
