28 And (A)wanting to ascertain the basis for the charges they were bringing against him, I (B)brought him down to their [a](C)Council; 29 and I found that he was being accused regarding (D)questions in their Law, but [b]was (E)not charged with anything deserving death or [c]imprisonment.

30 When I was (F)informed that there would be (G)a plot against the man, I sent him to you at once, also instructing (H)his accusers to [d]bring charges against him before you.”
