49 So the message of the Lord was spreading through the whole country. 50 But the Jewish people stirred up some of the important religious women and the leaders of the city. They started trouble against Paul and Barnabas and forced them out of their area. 51 So Paul and Barnabas shook the dust off their feet[a] and went to Iconium.

They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region.(B) 51 So they shook the dust off their feet(C) as a warning to them and went to Iconium.(D)
