¹¹ When David got up in the morning, the word of the Lord came to ^(A)Gad the prophet, David’s ^(B)seer, saying,

¹³ Yet the ^(A)Lord warned Israel and Judah ^[a](B)through all His prophets and ^(C)every seer, saying, “^(D)Turn back from your evil ways and keep My commandments and My statutes in accordance with all the Law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you ^[b]through My servants the prophets.”

²² Those who were chosen to be gatekeepers at the thresholds were 212 in all. They were registered by genealogy in their settlements, ^(A)those whom David and Samuel the seer appointed ^(B)in their official capacity.

²⁸ And all that Samuel the seer had dedicated, and Saul the son of Kish, Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, everyone who had dedicated anything, all of this was ^[a]under the care of ^[b]Shelomoth and his relatives.

²⁹ Now the acts of King David, from the first to the last, are written in the chronicles of ^(A)Samuel the seer, in the chronicles of ^(B)Nathan the prophet, and in the chronicles of ^(C)Gad the seer,
