2 Kings 17:16-18
New Century Version
16 The people rejected all the commands of the Lord their God. They molded statues of two calves, and they made an Asherah idol. They worshiped all the stars of the sky and served Baal. 17 They made their sons and daughters pass through fire and tried to find out the future by magic and witchcraft. They always chose to do what the Lord said was wrong, which made him angry. 18 Because he was very angry with the people of Israel, he removed them from his presence. Only the tribe of Judah was left.

New International Version
16 They forsook all the commands of the Lord their God and made for themselves two idols cast in the shape of calves,(A) and an Asherah(B) pole. They bowed down to all the starry hosts,(C) and they worshiped Baal.(D) 17 They sacrificed(E) their sons and daughters in the fire. They practiced divination and sought omens(F) and sold(G) themselves to do evil in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger.
18 So the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them from his presence.(H) Only the tribe of Judah was left,
