²³But ^(A)I call God as witness to my soul, that it was ^(B)to spare you that I did not come again to ^(C)Corinth.

New International Version

²³I call God as my witness^(A)—and I stake my life on it—that it was in order to spare you^(B) that I did not return to Corinth.

¹¹Have such a person consider this, that what we are in word by letters when absent, such persons we are also in deed when present.

¹¹Such people should realize that what we are in our letters when we are absent, we will be in our actions when we are present.
