15 (A)You who have kept with Your servant, my father David, that which You [a]promised him; You have spoken with Your mouth and have fulfilled it with Your hand, as it is this day. 16 Now then, Lord, God of Israel, keep to Your servant David, my father, that which You [b]promised him, saying, ‘[c](B)You shall not lack a man to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your sons pay attention to their way, to walk in My Law as you have walked before Me.’ 17 Now then, Lord, God of Israel, let Your word be confirmed which You have spoken to Your servant David.

15 You have kept your promise to your servant David my father; with your mouth you have promised(A) and with your hand you have fulfilled it—as it is today.
16 “Now, Lord, the God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father the promises you made to him when you said, ‘You shall never fail(B) to have a successor to sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your descendants are careful in all they do to walk before me according to my law,(C) as you have done.’ 17 And now, Lord, the God of Israel, let your word that you promised your servant David come true.
