²⁰ Then Ahab said to Elijah, “^(A)Have you found me, enemy of mine?” And he ^[a]answered, “I have found you, ^(B)because you have given yourself over to do evil in the sight of the Lord.

^25 (A)There certainly was no one like Ahab who gave himself over to do evil in the sight of the Lord, ^[a]because Jezebel his wife incited him.

¹⁷ Then ^(A)they made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire, and they ^(B)practiced divination and interpreting omens, and ^(C)gave themselves over to do evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him.

⁶ knowing this, that our ^(A)old ^[a]self was ^(B)crucified with Him, in order that our ^(C)body of sin might be ^[b]done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;
