1 Samuel 2:9-11
New American Standard Bible
9 (A)He watches over the feet of His godly ones,
(B)But the wicked ones are silenced in darkness;
(C)For not by might shall a person prevail.
10 (D)Those who contend with the Lord will be terrified;
(E)Against them He will thunder in the heavens,
(F)The Lord will judge the ends of the earth;
(G)And He will give strength to His king,
(H)And will exalt the [a]horn of His anointed.”
11 Then Elkanah went to his home at (I)Ramah. (J)But the boy continued to attend to the service of the Lord before Eli the priest.
